Daniel Durksen

All of us at the GPC were deeply saddened by the loss of Daniel, our long-time accompanist, in early 2018.  His generosity, kindness and exceptional musical ability are sorely missed.

Daniel Durksen was pianist for the Grand Philharmonic Choir for over 30 years. When not playing for the choir, or singing in the Grand Philharmonic Chamber Choir, he also enjoyed work as a collaborative pianist in a variety of contexts. He worked with singers, instrumentalists and dancers, who continually challenged his skills and creativity, and provided many opportunities for “live” music-making. He was also organist and choirmaster at Grace Anglican Church in Brantford, Ontario.
