This is a powerful depiction of the brilliant and tragic life of Alan Turing, mathematician and father of computer science. By breaking Nazi codes, Turing helped the Allies win the Second World War. Yet later he was brutally persecuted for his sexuality. Benedict Cumberbatch, the Oscar-nominated actor who portrayed Turing in the film The Imitation Game, attended the premiere of Codebreaker and described it as “a humanizing connection with the spirit of a beautiful man.”
