We’re proud to raise the next generation of musicians and music lovers with our Children’s Choir and Youth Choir.
Our young singers have the opportunity to integrate music theory and vocal technique through diverse and engaging choral repertoire in a fun, supportive community.
This season includes many exciting experiences for them!
Youth Choir singers will perform Haydn’s great work, The Creation, with the adult choir and Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony at Centre In The Square on November 7.
For all singers, there will be a collaboration with Dr. Darren Hamilton, one of Canada’s most significant gospel music experts. Darren will lead a workshop in the fall, and the singers will participate in a performance with him and his University of Toronto singers in Toronto in early 2027.
All our singers — adult, youth and children — will also perform in Yuletide Pops at Centre In The Square with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony in December, and at the German Christmas Market in downtown Kitchener.
For the children, there will also be a fun trip to Toronto to meet and sing with other children’s choirs!
To finish off the season, they will have their own concert in the spring, followed by a party!
And we are planning to tour with children’s and youth singers in July 2027, to St. John’s, Newfoundland as part of the HarbourVOICES! festival.
