Chloe Shantz
Assistant Conductor, Children's and Youth Choirs
Chloe Shantz is a musical director, soprano vocalist and violinist with a degree in Music and English Literature from the University of Waterloo. As a singer in Waterloo, she has been a longtime member and soloist with the University of Waterloo Chamber Choir, a singer in the Spiritus Ensemble, and a substitute in the parish choir at St John’s in Elora. As a musical leader, Chloe is a co-director of the Menno Youth Ensemble, a group of youth in Kitchener Waterloo that leads worship at various churches in the community, and puts on their own concerts that combine their talents in choral singing and instrumental ability. She has also been the Vocal Director on staff at the Ontario Mennonite Music Camp for three years, the Vocal Director for the Conrad Grebel production of The Clockmaker’s Daughter, and participated in a Choral Conducting workshop in Sarteano, Italy. Chloe is so happy to be a member of the GPCC team this year! Outside of music, Chloe has a passion for reading and writing novels.
